THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM HAS RECEIVED THE PRESTIGIOUS AWARD OF BEING THE BEST INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM AT THE HEBREW UNIVERSITY. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SUCH AN AWARD IS GRANTED.

The International Bio-medical Sciences M.Sc. Program is a unique two-year degree program offered for English-speaking students.​

Upon completing the program, students will hold a M.Sc. certificate from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, which is highly regarded in the academic world and is currently ranked as one of the top 50 research institutes globally.

Program structure

Research

The program offers a variety of research topics in the field of bio medicine such as:

stem cells, mineralized tissues, bone, biofilm, microbiology, immunology, virology, cartilage, developmental biology, cell movement, tissue engineering, epigenomics, salivary glands and oral diseases.
 

The research is associated with the human organs and disorders, and covers basic, applied and clinical-oriented research.



Courses

Core courses in biology, immunology, microbiology, physiology and biotechnology are offered.

Elective courses in specific areas are also offered. 
All courses are in English. 28 credits are required.

 

Structure of studies

The first semester usually begins in October to February, Students can also join for the second semester usually from April to August.
Pre requisite for being accepted to the program is finding a research mentor (list of biomedical topics or dental oriented topics).

Upon acceptance to the program the student must join the research laboratory. In the first six months he or she must submit a research proposal. Submission of a written thesis (in English) and an oral defense on the research topic concludes the program.
